Jay White – Ice Hockey Goalie – and the Sweet Caroline Tour raises funds annually to support the Paul Tatone Memorial for Youth Hockey, based in SCTour producer Steve Tatone’s hometown of Dayton, Ohio. Both Jay and Steve grew up playing ice hockey and were supported and cheered on by their respective families. After a stellar youth hockey career in Michigan, Jay managed the next best thing to his dream of playing in the National Hockey league (NHL)  and became, in the late 1990’s, the Practice Goalie for the IHL Las Vegas Thunder, and also played as the Emergency Backup Goalie for the ECHL Las Vegas Wranglers from 2004-2009.

The Memorial bearing Steve’s father’s name carries on the work of Paul Tatone, who was an early supporter and sponsor of the Dayton Amateur Hockey Association in the 1960’s & 70’s. Funds donated by individuals and by the Sweet Caroline Tour benefit financially disadvantaged boys and girls in the Dayton/Kettering Ohio area by providing them with hockey skates, hockey equipment and fees to participate in “Learn To Play” Hockey clinics.  All donations are tax deductible, as the  Paul Tatone Memorial Youth Hockey Fund is operated under the umbrella of: The Dayton Foundation; 1401 South Main Street, Suite 100;Dayton, Ohio  45409 / Phone: (937) 222-0410 website: www.daytonfoundation.org / email: [email protected].
